Attack of the Humongous Waves!

Attack of the Humongous Waves!

Let me start off by saying I rarely remember my dreams once I wake up. However I’ve been having this same dream throughout the last three weeks. When I had it again last night I decided I better look up its meaning.. Here is what I found:

To dream that you are caught in a tidal wave, represents an overwhelming emotional issue that demands your attention. You may have been keeping your feelings and negative emotions bottled up inside for too long. You may be holding back tears that you are afraid to express in your waking life. On a positive note, the tidal wave symbolizes the clearing away of old habits. If you are carried away by the tidal wave, then it means that you are ready to make a brand new start in a new place.

Hmmmm – Overwhelming emotional issue.. Not sure what that would be. Clearing away of old habits.. that makes some sense :)  It has not succeeded in taking me away yet.. I must not be ready just yet for a “new start” (in fact in my dream I was HIGHLY resisting letting it sweep me away)

If anyone can find other information on waves in dreams please feel free to share.. these were BIG waves… coming after me repeatedly… I was up on a balcony of a hotel.. I am not sure why I didn’t just go inside the hotel room.. for some reason me and another person (whom I cannot identify) were standing out on this balcony fearing for our lives as these humongous ocean waves kept crashing after us.

  1. That’s interesting, I would just consider it only as a dream. Some dreams are nice and other dreams are not so much, so if it was me I would just live it as that and not try to go further out to find the meaning of a certain dream I had.
